Hey! This is an exciting post to have written. I was lucky enough to travel to New York in October this year with my lovely uni friend, Lydia. New York has been on my wish list for years and years but it always seemed a little out of reach. So being given the opportunity to go, I jumped at the chance.  Lydia and I travelled from London Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic for 4 nights. We got early morning flights out and this was perfect as New York are 5 hours behind the UK so it meant that on arrival we could still go and explore for a few hours. Our return flight was a night flight, 22:30. This again, was perfect as we got a whole day in the city. I found that 4 nights/5 days was actually a really good amount of time to explore. What a  beautiful  city I recently travelled to Budapest for a hen weekend. It was amazing. The weather was beautiful, the city was stunning. I can't wait to go back! With the time of year it was, there were a few hens/stags going on, but no trouble. Everyone was super happy!  We had a great time, busy busy with our little schedule but it was so much fun. Hello! It's been a little while since I last posted in this series, namely because I haven't been anywhere to post about...until now! So, welcome back to the Wanderlust Series, number three. We are visiting Berlin, Germany. This was my first visit to the city and it won't be my last. I loved it there and would encourage as many people to go as I can! In just four days we crammed in as much sightseeing as possible, went to a gig, and did a little shopping. For me, the time booked wasn't enough, an extra couple of days wouldn't have done any  harm and we would have pretty much seen everything.  I flew with Ryanair from London  Stansted , which took just 1 hour and 20 minutes. Hello! Welcome to the third entry of the Wanderlust Series. This post is about my experience in Thailand. It's not a long one i'm afraid!  I wasn't a cool earthy backpacker...just a bog standard tourist visiting my little brother on his travels.  (Check out the colour difference!) So our trip started in Bangkok, we had booked direct flights with Eva Air (who were fab) and just our first night in the city. Unfortunately we didn't get to see any of Bangkok but I can say the hotel and the food were amazing! The next day, we took a domestic flight to the popular area of Ao Nang, Krabi, where my brother was staying. Ao Nang was great. The beaches were beautiful, there were plenty of places to slip away and explore or just chill out. I'm not personally a beach person so didn't spend loads of time there but for beach people I can imagine it would be almost perfect. Hello! Welcome to the second part of the Wanderlust Series. This post is about my experience in the popular city of Amsterdam, located in the Netherlands. My last trip here was in December 2013 and was intended as a short city break. We actually travelled midweek and honestly, it made no difference (other than it saved us some cash!). We stayed 3 nights in a small B&B near Vondelpark, just a short walk from the Hard Rock Café and just a 10 minute walk from 9 Straatjes which is an array of shops, cafés, bars and cultural wonders. Some amazing artwork and graffiti is tucked behind some of these streets and according to my other half...some great coffee too. Don't get the cafés and coffee shops confused...they are naughtily different. There's so much exploring to do in the city, if you go in the summer you will be able to do lots; we travelled in the winter and it was definitely cold but a little magical too.
